The Suburbs - Arcade Fire

I'm almost a ashamed to admit that I only heard of this amazing band last year as they provided many of the tracks for the soundtrack of Spike Jonze's adaption of "Where the Wild things are". As a result their second album titled "Neon Bible" quickly became one of my all time favourites and has been a regular feature on my iPod playlist ever since. Their third album "the Suburbs" is even better and provides that rare thing with music nowadays where every track on the record is simply unskippable. It's one of the best albums I've ever heard and it's incredibly easy to listen to no matter your mood. It's hard to pick favourite tracks from the list but if someone held a gun to my head I'd have to say "Half Light II (No Celebration)" , "Month of May" and "Sprawl I (Flatland)" . The final track "The Suburbs (Continued)" is also worth a mention and although it's only a mere 1.28 long it stays with you long after it stops and is a brilliant way to close out the album. Incredible stuff and like the two albums before it I'll be listening for a long time to come.
